The Ford Plantation is one of the nation’s premier residential communities and private sporting clubs, sensitively developed on 1,800 breathtaking acres of pristine Georgia Low Country. Located on the site of a former antebellum rice plantation, our majestic waterfront location once captivated the imagination of automobile magnate Henry Ford, who built a historic winter retreat on this lush property in the 1930s.
Today, the extraordinary natural environment of this private sporting community offers the perfect setting for a truly southern destination wedding—an opportunity to enjoy your special day in rare privacy and beauty. Although we are a private Club, we welcome a very select number of sponsored weddings each year, and we can accommodate gatherings of up to 300 people.
