The Westin Hilton Head Island Resort & Spa

The Westin was a fantastic venue. Malely Cowan is the ultimate in wedding coordinators. We planned our wedding from NYS so it could have been a disaster. However, Malely gave us a list of vendors to contact and guided us through everything that we needed to do. She allowed us to have the wedding of our dreams and made sure that everything went the way it was supposed to. Each time I communicated with her she listened to me and made sure that my needs were being met. When we arrived the week of our wedding, we were able to turn everything over to Malely and relax at the beautiful resort. People were amaze how relaxed I was and it's because of her.I highly recommend getting your hair and makeup done at the Spa. We had a ladies luncheon and the Westin catered it. We were treated like royalty. For our reception, the food was amazing! I don't think you could pick anything on that menu that would disappoint.Our friends and family have remarked at how easy and beautiful our wedding was and we owe a large part of that to Malely and the other employees at the Westin.

We cannot say enough about how amazing the Westin Resort was during the entire planning process and wedding weekend. Not only is it a beautiful location to get married, but the staff there is incredible and the wedding went off without a hitch. We know that we owe most of our thanks to our catering sales manager, Malely Cowan. From day one, she offered 150% with all her helpful suggestions and she went above and beyond with every interaction we had with her. She is extremely organized and took care of everything we needed. Not only was she amazing to plan the menu with and coordinate with our vendors, but the day of the wedding she was invaluable. She handled every detail to make sure it all seemed effortless, and absolutely everything went the way we wanted it to. We never had to worry about any of the tiny details because we knew she had it under control. She even ran out to us during our after-ceremony wedding pictures to bring us a cocktail from the cocktail hour that we couldn't attend. And later she made sure we got to try the appetizers as well. It seemed like she was everywhere at all times and we got hundreds of compliments on how great she was from our guests. Every interaction we had with the staff at the Westin was great, and the spa staff is incredible as well. I highly recommend getting a massage the day before the wedding. It was a great way to relax and rejuvenate before the big day. Their beauty salon staff also did an amazing job on our hair and make-up as well. So if you are planning on getting married in Hilton Head Island, get married at the Westin!!! You will not regret it!

The Westin was amazing. Malely Cowan did a fabulous job. She offered advice when I asked, and she ensured that everything went according to my plan. She is wonderful at her job and if you get the chance to work with her, I would highly recommend it.

The Westin Resort & Spa is the best place to have your beach wedding! We initially worked with Francesca and Danielle. Both were so pleasant and down to earth. Danielle worked so hard and went above and beyond to make our week at the Westin and our wedding the best ever!! Our friends and family all stayed at the Westin the week of our wedding. Danielle helped with our wedding decor and making sure it was all in place. My wedding day was my happiest day ever and Danielle helped make it beautiful! Danielle, our wedding planner couldn't have been more accommodating and helpful. She assisted me with the many questions and phone calls and was pleasant and sweet every time. Three days before the wedding I spoke with Danielle about the weather and moving the reception from the pool terrace inside. She was able to reserve the gazebo for us and it was beautiful!! Our ceremony was perfect with a cool breeze from the ocean and walking into the air conditioned gazebo made it even better. We were so happy with every detail from our cake to the pictures and the fantastic buffet. I would recommend Danielle at the Westin Resort and Spa to any bride. She upgraded our room and had chocolate covered strawberries delivered after the reception. Thank you Danielle!!!! My hair appointment was at the Spa and I had chipped almost every nail the day of the wedding. I inquired about white nail polish so I could touch up my nails while my hair was getting an up-do. My hairdresser sat me down and polished the tips. I was so happy with my nails and big hair style. It took awhile to remove the bobby pins but it was worth it. I had my wedding at the Westin Resort and Spa Hilton Head Island on 8/22/09. The ceremony was on the pool terrace and the reception was at the oceanfront pavilion. My contact was Francesca (Ches) Ney. For starters, Ches was absolutley fabulous. She was the most positive, flexible, delightful person I worked with during the planning process. She was responsive to my every question and need. Sometimes I sent her 10 e-mails a day and she would answer every one of them. Almost without exception, every want and need I expressed was met. The Westin offered impeccable service. The plated dinner came out in a timely fashion. The servers were helpful and polite. I also had a hotel room block and many of my guests stayed on the property for the event, which was so great. We were all able to spend a lot of time together at the pool and beach thoughtout the week which made my event more like an entire week of celebration. The Westin added a few special touches (will keep as a surprise for you if you decide to hire them). The rate for the room block was extremely reasonable. The other thing I really appreciated about the Westin was that they were willing to negotiate - if there was something not on the menu, etc they were willing to color outside the lines and make it happen. I was extremely happy with the venue for my wedding and would recommend it to anyone looking to have a destination wedding for sure! Lastly, I highly recommend the jacuzzi suite for your bridal suite! It was amazing!

The Westin treated us like we were a king and queen and we would recommend them and their staff to anyone looking to have a wedding in HHI. Although it was on the more expensive side when it came to the venue/food cost - it was worth it in the end. All of the staff from the cooks to the banquet manager were amazing and even helped us pack up all of our wedding boxes and load our car. We couldn't have asked for anything better :)
