Publix

I had my doubts when ordering a wedding cake from a grocery store, but it turned out great. We got compliments from many guests on how good the cake was. When we told them it was from Publix, they were surprised. We even had guests asking for seconds. The order process was easy. We forgot the due date of our payment with everything going on, and they were nice enough to call and remind us. Very simple process and they had lots of selection.

Everything was great. The cake looked good, was delicious and delivered on time!

I went to the Publix in Twelve Oaks Shopping center, just outside of the historic district and got a wedding cake from them. It was great and everyone liked it, so I would definitely recommend them.

Don't write off Publix just because they're a grocery store. They do spectacular wedding cakes. Our decorator, Nikki, was helpful and produced the most perfect cake exactly to our specifications.

Our cake was tasty and beautiful. Initially the cake delivered was slightly leaning - publix quickly took it back and delievered a new one - issue went unoticed to everyone else thanks to their professionalism and great customer service.

All the people at Publix are always kind, helpful, and courteous, but the folks in the bakery are especially so. When I went in to look at their cakes, one of the bakers took the time to discuss flavors, fillings, colors, sizes, and decorations with me for quite some time, when I know they must have been busy with many other things. I ordered a carrot cake with cream cheese frosting in a simple style with only two tiers for a small wedding. It was delicious! and the price was reasonable. The cake was delivered on time, and looking beautiful.

The cake was fantastic and delivered on-time looking good. My only complaint is that for the same cake we were quoted three prices. And to determine the price, the employees were scrawling illegibly on a piece of scrap paper. Then one added the numbers wrong and was prepared to charge us $70 more. So that process could definitely use some improving!

Our cake was delicious and looked so beautiful! They did have limited designs but worked with me to create what I wanted. They did not have cake stands available for a square cake but we were able to get something with our reception venue. In the end, the cake looked so great and tasted awesome!

I used Publix's bakery as a cheap alternative to a super expensive wedding cake (my priorities were in the over the top Sanford Stadium groom's cake). The cake didn't quite live up to the simple Martha Stewart inspiration I brought in because I opted for butter cream frosting over fondant, but I was still pretty darn impressed with Publix's handy-work. I gave them my own unique oval baking pans and stencils to aid in the work. They gave me back the stencils unused (again, a fondant issue) and the pans cleaned out. What I wasn't impressed with was that they messed up my order and made it a completely white cake on the inside instead of one tier of red velvet and the other vanilla with raspberry filling! I didn't know this until we cut into the cake at our reception. That was quite a surprise! Although the baker (Evelyn) was absolutely wonderful to work with, messing up the cake flavors is kind of a big deal. They only charged me for the white cake and I think they should have offered to either discount it more or give us a free, small anniversary cake or something. Overall, for the price, you can't go wrong. Just quadruple check the order!

I took a picture of the cake I had in mind to Publix and they cake they delivered was exactly what I wanted. The servers at our reception were amazed at how moist the cake was (I know for a fact that it was made the morning of my wedding). If you want a really good cake for an affordable price I wholeheartedly recommend going to Publix!

We choose Publix because they were affordable, they even delivered. They were on-time and the cake looked exactly like the picture i provided for them. Couldnt be happier with how it turned out!

We ordered a small two layer grooms cake as a wedding cake. It was perfect! It was pretty enough for a wedding cake but my requirement was just a delicios chocolate cake and thats what we got. It was delicios and inexpensive with delivery.

My aunt was supposed to make my cake and at the last minute (3 days before the wedding), when she wasn't able to, I ran to Publix in a bit of a panic! The bakery staff was not only friendly and helpful, but allowed us to do a tasting of cakes and icings as well. They helped me decide on how big each layer should be for the best looking cake and made sure that it would be enough to feed everyone. They took time to explain how to take the top layer off and preserve it as a memory and really just went above and beyond in every regard! They made my cake and the grooms cake and iced them and we put on the last minute decorations. The cakes were moist and tasted wonderful and the icings were great as well. SO many people at the wedding asked who did the cake and said "this is the best wedding cake I have ever tasted!" I don't think I will ever buy a cake anywhere else now!

With a tight budget,this is the place to go. our cake was beautiful and very tasty, and i dont even like cake. I was suprized at the quality of the cake itself.

I would not reccomend Publix to anyone who is looking for something fancy. We used them and the cake tasted good, but the top layer started to slip off before the reception started. My caterer, luckily was able to fix it.

My husband and I went to a place in Savannah, and they wanted an arm and leg for a three tiered cake. We heard that Publix did great cakes, so we showed them a picture, and I was so amazed with the job they did. It was cheap, for a wedding cake, and it looked so elegant. I wouldn't recommend anyone else.

Publix has fabulous cakes and great customer service. Our wedding cake was very simple, it was a cupcake wedding cake (We both wanted a custom "grooms cake" because we are both so in to our separate hobbies, so we opted for a less expensive and fun wedding cake). It was a hit, especially with our friends and the kids. Just the right size for those picky cake eaters ;)
