Michael's Formal Wear

I got my DREAM dress for an excellent price! They have an excellent selection & everyone @ Michaels was super nice & helpful... They laughed @ me when I went back & "visited" my dress 4 times before actually purchasing it, but they didn't make me feel like I was annoying them or wasting their time (which is a common complaint I hear about other places). I have already referred several of my friends to them, & they were successful in their hunt for the dream dress too!THANK YOU! :) ~ W

The store in the Orange Park Mall is where I ordered my dress from. The staff were unprofessional and seemed like your typical "Mall Customer Service" not the service of a Bridal/Formal Wear Shop. I went to the shop at the St Johns Town Center for the Mini Bride's Dress and Maide of Honor's Dress, Groom's and Best Man's Tux. They were great and very professional & helpful. They were available to help with fitting, the seamstress was very attentive, alterations came out great! Seamstress inserted a corset back into my dress when I gained weight.. you couldnt even tell that the dress didnt originally come with a corset back. The workers were always willing to stay a little late to service us if we couldn't make it to the shop in time. They were truly there to service the wedding party and make us feel special and important. I wouldn't go to the Orange Park Location, again, though

This shop made me SO happy. Not only do they have beautiful gowns (reasonable prices too!), they are SOOOOO helpful, so nice and engaged (not a sale but a person to them). Their location is convenient and they worked so hard for me and helped keep me sane with all kinds of hints and patience. My main girl was Vickie but Leslie and Leeann are also wonderful! Their seamstress is Lily and she is THE best, truly. So friendly and fast and did an amazing job. I even had a couple custom changes/favors that didn't even phase her. Just a quick story as a testament to how cool these girls are: one day after my first fitting, my mom and I left my camera in the dressing room. When I got home and realized, I called right away. They said they had found it and would hold it no problem. Days later I had already picked it up and thought nothing of it, I was showing someone pictures of the dress and the last pic on there was the three salesgirls posing with a sign they had written that said they loved me and wished me the best. It was so cute and thoughtful. Just full of those kinds of personal touches.

This is a family-owned business. The warehouse is local, so you don't have to order very far in advance. We were satisfied with everything about this vendor, except a bit disappointed in their advertised "specials". They advertise special pricing to get you in the store, but the actual "special" isn't what you'd want, so you end up spending much more than you expected.

My husband, father and all the groomsmen ordered their tuxes from them. All of the tuxes, except for the father of the bride, came in with the wrong vests and ties. You wouldn't think this would be a big deal, however they told us we lied about what we ordered and told us to live with the mistakes. Nothing matched!! Finally, after arguing for an extended period of time, the promised to fix the problem. They should have just done this to begin with and there would be no complaint!! Horrible Horrible Story
