Familiar with Geoff's work and a photographer myself, I knew right away that he was the photographer to fulfill my high expectations for our wedding day photos. Geoff and his associates captured the whole day, from preparations through reception, in an honest and beautiful way. Communication was easy and Geoff really listened to what we wanted. He delivered photographs were beyond even my expectations, real treasures.

We were so pleased with Geoff's work that I don't know where to begin. After seeing our engagement shots, I had no doubt that our wedding photos would be wonderful or that we would enjoy working with Geoff and Leslie. They both have an uncanny talent for candid photography. I felt like the photos truly captured the emotion of the day in a way that you rarely see in still shots. Every time I look through the pictures, I notice something I hadn't before, an entirely separate moment going on in the background. Best of all, they manage to do all of this while not just being unobtrusive, but also seeming as if they are truly enjoying the moment and the day right along with you. If candid photos that completely capture the moment and a real attention to detail are important to you, I can't recommend Geoff highly enough.

A wedding photographer is the most important decision you will make as a bride, as your memories of that day live on through their work. The short version of this review: Hire Geoff. Now, before your date is no longer available. The short list of why: incredible talent, highly professional, fun to work with, unique perspectives, and all around incredible. Geoff shot our wedding in Savannah, which I planned remotely. I made several trips to Savannah to meet with photographers and five minutes into our meeting with Geoff I knew my search had ended. First, his work speaks for itself -- check out his website. He is incredibly talented and I liked that his portfolio is broad and not limited to wedding photography. Add to the quality of his work the fact that he is the consummate professional and yet one of the coolest, laid back people on the planet, and you have the complete package. We were looking for someone to tell a story, not line us up and shoot portraits. We wanted a very photojournalistic style, shot from interesting view points. Watching Geoff in action was awesome, and working with him was so easy and enjoyable. Our wedding party loved him. About the work. I had unexpected surgery two weeks before our wedding, and wasn't all there that day (even more so than a bride typically feels) and felt somewhat robbed of my memories. When I received the photos, I was overwhelmed. He did such a phenomenal job of capturing intimate moments and unique perspectives of the day. You can feel the emotion in the photos. I could not thank him enough for giving me the gift of experiencing my wedding day through his work. On a side note, he also helped me find my day-of wedding planner and ceremony musicians. I mean, c'mon, he's just awesome. I would without question recommend Geoff. He is truly an artist, and amazing to work with. You will not regret it.

The biggest piece of advice I received from friends and family when planning my wedding was to pick a great photographer!! With Geoff we got more then that! Geoff and assistant Leslie were wonderful. I do not consider myself very photogenic and Geoff made me look beautiful in his pictures. He was great with getting the posed family pictures done quickly and efficiently (your welcome mom) so everyone could enjoy the evening. The photos were spontaneous and truly captured our small intimate ceremony perfectly.

I am so glad that Geoff Johnson photographed and fully documented our wedding. We couldn't be happier with the amazing images that he captured and and quality of his work. Many friends who have also recently have been married were a bit jealous that they too didn't hire Geoff to document their wedding day. In our world of modern and eclectic weddings, Geoff is a perfect fit to give you images that are unexpected and arty.

Geoff and his lovely staff provided us a unique experience in our wedding photography. We enjoyed a nice blend of traditional and photo-journalistic shots to remember our special day. My spouse and I loving photography and despising videoography could not have asked for a better experience. If you don't want a camera an inch from your nose the entire day, but still demand a wonderful blend of memorable shots that tells your special day's story, then please hire Geoff... We will cherish our photos for our life time. Thanks again Geoff!!!

Geoff has a wonderful way of capturing all the right moments. You barely know he's around. I never felt overwhelmed. He has a gentleness about him that makes you feel comfortable. I love the photos he took of our wedding...I can't stop looking at them!

Geoff's talent for photography is unparalleled. His images make you feel worthy of the cover of Vogue. Geoff has an uncanny knack for creating intimate and stunning moments in time that you and everyone who views will cherish always.

I can't recommend Geoff Johnson enough. As we departed the reception site, I confess to feeling a bit nervous because I was wondering how many photos Geoff could've captured of the reception, since I felt like I hadn't seen him in hours. I laughed out loud when I saw the proofs two weeks later - there were over 200 shots from the reception alone! Turns out Geoff and his assistant Leslie are just so professional and unobtrusive that I felt like I hadn't seen them at all. And the photos themselves are outstanding. We really wanted mostly photojournalistic shots - ones that really captured what the day was like, rather than just staged photo ops with the requisite family members - and that's exactly what we got. Of course, my Mom really wanted a few family portraits, and Geoff did an awesome job with those too, mixing up the staging so that they weren't all people-standing-in-a-straight-line-smiling. I have over 450 photos for 6 hours of shooting, and have 'favorite-d' nearly 250 of them! To top it off, Geoff was definitely the most affordable of the five photographers I spoke to. Don't book your photographer without at least getting a quote from him and checking out his work on his website.

Geoff Johnson arrived to the home I had rented right on time and ready to start, and since this was a destination wedding, we had little to no contact prior to the event. We had counted on the wedding planner to update him on who's who and what our vision was for him and our expectations, sadly the wedding planner had failed to respond to the numerous emails Geoff had sent wanting to get familiar with the couple he was about to meet. Upon Geoff's arrival, he simply asked a couple of questions and realizing the panic in my eyes, Geoff immediately made me feel comfortable and went to work creating a true sense of comfort! Geoff and his assistant performed almost out of sight out of mind, but still captured all the great moments we wanted through journalistic style photography, it was perfect. They understood our needs and became instantly a part of our wedding! They stayed throughout the entire event focusing on capturing the most memorable moments of our lives, so you would have no worries with this choice; Geoff L Johnson will perform above and beyond your expectations and has created raving fans out of us. I can not explain how perfect Geoff and his assistant were. They were amazingly unobstrusive!! Geoff came in and immediately started photographing what was going on; he didn't stop, set up, then start telling us to pose. I can not tell you how many guests commented on how wonderful he was; you hardly noticed him being there. He was extremely professsional. I have been to weddings where the photographers were continously stopping and eating, etc. Geoff never stopped snapping away. The only negative thing I have to say is he has provided me with too many amazing pictures, right now I have over 200 favorites. I have no clue how on earth I am going to narrow them all down, maybe I'll just wallpaper my walls with wedding pictures. Geoff Rocks!!!

Best and easiest choice we made for the wedding. Geoff did everything that we wanted and did it beautifully!!! Lots of different shots and angles. I'm not photogenic whatsoever but we have some wonderful pictures thanks to Geoff!!

My photos are the most memorable part of my wedding and Geoff did a great job making my memories perfect! He was very aware of the kinds of photos I liked and his work and photojournalistic style created a great story of the day! Many of my family and guests have commented on how creative and beautiful the shots were and how much better they like his photos than the "typical wedding photography". Geoff and his assistant were very professional and courteous as well and really made themselves "invisible" during the event.

We now have some very nice and unqiue photos of our wedding day. There were so many special moments captured. He was easy to work with as well. We have been very pleased.

Geoff is truly a gifted photographer and my wedding pictures are more than I hoped for. He is extremely professional yet also fun to be around. Your photographer is the person who spends every moment of the day with you, and personal compatibility is very important. Geoff and his assistant, Leslie, put everyone at ease; my husband and I felt like we were all friends by the end of the night. Geoff's style is not at all intrusive, yet he managed to perfectly capture all of the moments I wanted to remember. Our posed photos are beautiful keepsakes, but the candids are my favorites. Geoff captured the real emotions of the day - the tears coming down the aisle, the anticipation during the vows, the joy when were actually married. Choosing Geoff as our photographer was our best wedding decision and I can't recommend him enough.

Geoff and his team were exceptional - professional, kind, considerate. The quality of his work exceded our expectations. I love his 'fly on the wall' point of view in so many of the photos - no one really remembered a photographer being there (i.e. - he was able to get AMAZING photos without being seen or heard). Geoff worked very hard to give us high quality - and his fees were a great deal for the service he provided. To give you a perspective of what kind of show he runs -- we were married on the beach in a tropical rain storm. Geoff and his team were out there getting sandy and wet before the event helping with chairs, flowers, etc - things that were not even related to their photography -- I would (and do) recommend Geoff Johnson Photography to everyone preparing for a wedding!
