This rental was a nightmare. I was not told when I ordered chairs that they are closed on Sat/Sun, so I had to pick up chairs on Friday and return to Monday. I did not complain, however I just hired a service to pick up and return the chairs for me.
On the day of the rental I called the office and paid for my chairs via debit card. When the service people I hired arrived to pick up the chairs there was confusion regarding the number ordered. A warehouse worker gave the people extra chairs and told them there was no charge.
ON MY HONEYMOON I received 2 very nasty phone calls demanding that I pay for the chairs. I asked them to please allow me time to contact the pickup company and get back to them as I was traveling. I did not know xtra chairs were given, and I didn't ask for xtra chairs. I was told that the pickup company told them I would pay for the chairs.
After speaking to the service people I hired I found out that I'd been lied to, so I asked the service person to call them. Then they lied to her also and accused me of lying to get out of paying for the extra chairs. They denied saying that she authorized the charges and said I sent them an email authorizing her to use my card. (Another lie) She advised them that the warehouse person told her there was no charge and that's what she told my director when she delivered the chairs. After speaking to her they relented on the charges, but only after trying to destroy my personal reputation with the person I hired.
Finally I spoke to the manager and he stated that I would not be charged for the chairs. There was no apology for the error or the way I was treated.
Worst vendor of my entire wedding!!
Ginger Catlett lied to me and lied on me. That is unforgivable.
