B Street Salon

Thank goodness for B Street Salon! We live several hours from Savannah, and planned our whole wedding long distance. A few days before the wedding, the salon I had booked two months earlier cancelled my wedding party booking as what turns out to be their only stylist was injured. Somehow B Street was able to fit us in. Whitney did my hair and makeup. She was very nice, and did a wonderful job on both. She listened to what I wanted, and took her time to be sure that is what I got -- she even had a large enough space set up for the friends/family who were in tow to be able to hang out with me while she was doing my hair and makeup. B Street allowed me to relax and enjoy our wedding weekend.

I've read the other reviews from a few years back, and TOTALLY disagree. I think it must have drastically changed since then. We had our wedding in March, and I couldn't have been happier.I went to Laura for my hair, and Ashley for my make-up. Both were extremely talented, and fun to be around. I sent Sarah, the receptionist, umpteen photos and styles which she happily passed along to Laura over and over again. Laura did my hair exactly how I wanted it. Since I was out of town, and unable to make the trial in advance, she did it the day before the wedding for me. She made my veil easy to take off and on, and I have received sooo many compliments on my hair.Ashley did my make-up perfectly as well. She did the trail the day before, and it was nice feeling so comfortable with how everything would turn out on the day of the wedding. My make-up was not overdone, looked beautiful in the photos and in natural light.I would recommend Laura and Ashley to anyone!

Megan(not sure how to spell her name) :) was WONDERFUL!!!! I loved what she did for my hair on my wedding day. I was concerned because my hair is very thin/fine and really does not like to do anything but Megan made it fabulous! I have to say that because of the hairdo I really looked special on my day. Although it is a long story she was so wonderful that she gave me her lunch for the day, now that is dedication to a client. She was super wonderful to work with and if I lived in Savannah I would have Megan as my personal stylist. Along with Megan the rest of the staff at B Street Salon were wonderful. Everyone there is so nice and helpful it really was a great experience.

My bridesmaids & mother went to this salon to get their hair done on my wedding day. Not only did the hairstylists not know how to do a french twist or blow out properly, they did them so poorly my friends & family had to redo their hair themselves when they can home. It looked terrible and I would not recommend this place. I went to Savannah Day Spa & their service & technique were great - much better place for a wedding day hairdo.

I had been to B Street Salon several times before I picked them for my wedding day. Now, I realize that I liked the atmosphere of the salon better than the stylists or results. I will NEVER go back to B Street Salon. They tried to charge me WAY more money than I had expected to pay and were just very pretentious. I was not pleased with the results-- the stylist didn't listen to me AT ALL-- I was going for a more loose, natural look (and I swear, I am a laid back gal) and ended up with a shellacked, severe bun-type 'do that was NOTHING like what I had hoped to achieve. I almost had a meltdown in the salon. A girl named Bethany is the only girl worth seeing in the place-- be sure to steer clear of Kiley. As I said before, I will NEVER go back to B Street and most people in Savannah agree, B Street is overpriced and overrated. Go to JW's instead! (and ask for Renata)

Just writing this review gets my blood boiling. I booked my and my bridesmaids hair appts with B Street. In the booking cost it states B Street will do a trial run to show how your hair will look. When I showed up for the trial the hair stylist told me she didnt needed to do it and sent me home. The worst part, on the wedding day this same stylist was 1 hour late getting to me because she was cutting someone elses hair; I was just sitting there with a vail in my hand- so embarrasing. Then I hated the look she gave me and on top of all that I missed my makeup appt because B Street was running so late. I understand they do alot of weddings and obviously it meant nothing to them that my schedule had fallen to the wayside, but I will only be married once and it meant alot to me to have my hair and makeup done correctly. A guest at my reception took me to the bathroom and fixed my hair for me. Please do not use this vendor.
